Event Details: The 2009 running of the Ridge Run Half Marathon and 5K will be the fourth annual running of the event in this town set in the southern part of Washington state near the border with Oregon, along the Columbia River. The 2009 Ridge Run was a great success!  The weather was sunny.  The course was as hilly and challenging as ever (we don't call it the RIDGE Run for nothing), and YET,... another awesome time set by the race winner of the day, Jason Effmann, who came back to Ridgefield to reclaim his crown again this year at a finishing time of 1:13:52.

Some nice comments from our runners last year..
"Thank you for putting this race on.  It is so nice to not have to go into Portland to do a 1/2 marathon.  This was my 4th 1/2 marathon and by far the best experience I have had so far.  I am so glad that there were two bathrooms available for use this year.  Also, the free GU to consume at mile 7.  I look forward to doing it again next year-hopefully a little faster."  Sincerely, Karla Gulliford

"I just want to say Thank You and all of your WONDERFUL VOLUNTEERS     We had a great time this morning and I really look forward to doing it again next year. Excellent course and the weather was perfect.  We really enjoyed everything.  Also the cookies were great."
Linda Johnson, runner/walker number#71

"We had a great time - You did a great Job-The miles were really well marked and it was a perfect day for a race - The temps were perfect.  Thanks for a great Race!"  Nathan Madeleine
